Introduction
I've spent much time throughout Thailand from Chiang Mai out to Issan and down through Surat Thani to Sunggai Kolok.
What are you? Explorer (Beginner), Experienced (Intermediate), Enthusiast (Expert), or a Thai Food Guru?
I'm a humble explorer. Aren't we all? Well, that's not exactly true. I guess you can say I might have had enough experience to be on the genius level.
What is your favorite Thai Dish? and Why? Explorers (1 dish or more), Experienced (2 dishes+), Enthusiasts (3 dishes+), Gurus (5+)
I don't know what it's called in English but sometimes they refer to it as Morning-glory. Otherwise I think it's called "pat-boong". I'm usually a fan of panang for curry and pad kee mow for noodles.
What are your favorite Thai restaurants? Explorers (1 or more), Experienced (2+), Enthusiasts (3+), Gurus (5+) [This will help us choose venues.]
I've always liked Sanamluang in Hollywood. Jitlada is decent if you're looking for a delicious Tom Yum Goong. I think Palm is good, but more for the entertainment and it's my own private theory that the Elvis impersonator is the owner and he was really just looking for a venue with a captive audience so he started a restaurant. Toi is maybe good for celebrity sightings.

How hot are you? uhh... I meant how spicy can you take on a scale of 1 - 10? (10 = Make me cry. I enjoy pain!, 1 = Put me at the kids table)
Yo, I'm smoking, sizzling really. However, I do like having milk/sugar available to disperse the heat. I can take it, just not too extreme.
