Habitat for Humanity (www.habitat.org) is a non-profit organization who has worked with low income families to build affordable housing for over 125,000 families worldwide in 83 countries. Habitat for Humanity's goal is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. To date, Habitat for Humanity has provided more than 625,000 people with safe, decent, affordable shelter.

On June 5th, the Cantonese Language Group will have an opportunity to help the families celebrate all the hard work in a dedication ceremony when each of the eleven (11) families get to walk through their just completed homes in the North Kenwood Street housing project in Glendale. The entire community will be coming out to celebrate this wonderful accomplishment.

I hope you can join me in seeing all the hard work our Canto volunteers have accomplished over the months and weeks at the North Kenwood Street project.

It is such a rewarding experience and I want to congratulate you, our Canto members, for making this happen!
